HIT STUDIO
HOW A TRAINER'S DATA IS HANDLED

Hit Studio Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective August 25, 2026

The short version

Hit Studio is operated by Tiny Room Studios LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as Hit Club and Hit Studio, in Los Angeles, California. This policy covers the trainer side of the product: the Hit Studio app, app.thehit.club/studio, and the tools you use to record, publish, and coach. Your members read the Hit Club Privacy Policy, which covers their side. What you agree to when you use the Service is in the Hit Studio Trainer Terms, including the content license.

What Hit Studio stores

Your account and your studio

Your name, and the email address or phone number you sign in with. We send a one-time code to it; there is no password for us to store. Your studio profile is whatever you put in it: your photo, your club name, your bio, your default interval scheme, your class times, and your door link, which never changes.

The videos you record

Every exercise clip you record or upload, the versions of it we make for playback, and its thumbnail. Uploaded clips are processed automatically, including machine transcription of the audio, so the coaching cues line up with the workout clock. That transcription runs on our own machines and the audio is not sent to a transcription company.

Workouts and programs

The workouts you build, published or still draft, the programs you assign, your schedule and its slots, and anything you brought in through an import.

Your client roster

Who came through your door and joined your club, the name and contact they gave, what they have trained with you, and what they chose to log: sessions, habits, weigh-ins, and progress photos. That record is theirs first. It is in your studio because they are your client, and it leaves when they leave.

Coaching messages

The thread between you and each client, both directions, including any clip a client attached to a question. Clips attached to a question carry their audio and are stored with the message.

Films your clients send you

When a client uses Film me during a workout, the full-quality video stays on their phone and a reduced copy is uploaded to your Film Room so you can watch their form back. Those copies are video only, with no sound.

Live sessions you host

Going live sends your camera and mic to our servers, which cut the stream into short rolling segments so your members can watch it. We do not keep a recording, and the segments are deleted when you stop.

Notifications, telemetry, and logs

If you turn notifications on, a push subscription or an Apple device token. Counters of in-app actions per day, tied to your account: an event name, a date, and a number, with no free text and no third-party analytics. Standard server request logs, including IP address and device type, kept briefly and then discarded. If you send us feedback, we get what you wrote plus the screen you were on and the app build.

Your clients' content, and what you owe it

A client's film, message, weigh-in, and progress photo are personal to them. They sent them to you, not to your club. Do not republish them, post them, or show them to anybody else without that client's permission, and expect the same from us. If a client deletes their account, their films and messages go out of your studio with it.

You also hold the report and remove controls on your side: any thread or film in your studio can be reported to us, and you can remove a client from your club, which detaches them from your studio and closes the thread. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. What everybody in the club agrees to is in the Community Guidelines.

Your payout detailsYou and Stripe

Our own staff reach trainer content only to run the Service, to fix something broken, or to act on a report or a legal demand.

Payouts

Money that moves to you is handled by Stripe. You give Stripe your identity and bank details directly, under Stripe's terms; we store an account identifier and your payout status. No card or bank numbers touch our servers. Nothing is sold to you inside the Hit Studio iOS app, and if anything ever is, it will run through Apple In-App Purchase. Your taxes are yours, as the Trainer Terms say.

What we never do

Trainer Content is a different question from personal information, and it is settled in section 2 of the Trainer Terms rather than here: the license you grant there is broad, it includes machine-learning use, and it is worth reading before you upload.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that make the studio run, and only with what each one needs:

We also disclose information when the law requires it, and we would transfer it in a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy follows the data.

Deleting your studio

In the app: the Studio tab, then Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. It erases your studio and everything your studio authored: your profile, your exercise clips and their files, your workouts and programs, your schedule, your coaching threads, your door link, and your notification tokens. Your clients keep their own accounts and everything they logged for themselves; they simply no longer have a trainer. Films your clients sent you are theirs and are removed from the studio with it. Copies already delivered to somebody else may remain with them, and backups age out on their normal cycle. You can also email us and we will do it for you.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address below from the address on your account. California residents have those rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of. If you are in the EEA or the UK, our basis for processing is performing our contract with you, plus your consent for notifications and any optional feature you switch on. Where you are the one deciding what happens to your clients' training records, you are responsible for your own obligations to them.

How long we keep it

While your studio exists, and no longer, apart from records we have to keep for tax, accounting, or fraud purposes. Server logs are short lived. Live-session segments last minutes.

Age

Hit Studio is for trainers who are at least 18. Hit Club is not for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account in your club, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Sign-in is by one-time code, so there is no password to leak. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, and we will tell you if something happens that puts your information at risk.

Changes

If this policy changes, the version number and effective date at the top change with it, and material changes get a notice in the app.
